Trickle Feeding
Horses have evolved to eat high fibre diets. In nature they would have free access to a variety of vegetation (grasses, herbs and shrubs) by grazing vast areas for 16 to 18 hours a day, giving them a continuous – little and often – supply of nutrients.
Today’s domesticated horses and ponies are kept in far different circumstances than nature intended. Few of us are lucky enough to have hundreds of acres to allow our horses to graze as their ancestors did. Fibre is still the most important part of a horse’s diet but today’s forage and grazing is commonly deficient in essential nutrients. Therefore we need to supply the horse with the nutrients it requires to be fit and healthy, from another source.

What is Horslyx?
Horslyx is a palatable feed lick, which offers the horse a more natural ‘trickle feed’ nutrient supply. To be fed alongside forage and/or grazing.
