Testimonials
Paige Rowlatt and Arctic Fox

Artic Fox, aka Casper, is a 13 year old gelding who loves Original and Garlic Horslyx. "I would like to give a big thank you to Horslyx as it has almost stopped my 14hh Connemara pony windsucking." Paige tells us. "Due to a bad start in life he was lacking in minerals, shy and just generally not a very happy pony but now with the help of Horslyx he is healthier and full of life. His windsucking has reduced and he is a different pony in general! Thank you very much."

Farrier Dave

Dave Ward is known as Farrier Dave in his area which is close to Nottingham and the Vale of Belvoir. "As a farrier I often use Mini Horslyx when trimming or shoeing nervous horses," he says. "Not only do they calm and distract the horse but they are full of nutrients to promote healthy feet."

Jade Vale and Marco
Marco is a 7 year old 17hh Friesian gelding. Jade has owned him since he was just an 8 month old colt. "We compete in affilliated British Dressage up to and including elementary level," she tells us. "I am an Instructor at the BHS Rycroft School of Equitation in Hampshire. It's a very busy yard. I use the 5kg Respiratory Horslyx for Marco as he is stabled a lot of the time so I want to make sure I am using something which will help support a healthy respiratory system whilst he's stabled and for when he's working hard in preparation for competitions. It also helps to keep him occupied & prevents boredom. It helps balance any deficiences in his forage and grazing. He is on a surprisingly small amount of feed considering how much work he does - basically ad lib hay plus sugarbeet, chaff & succulents - but he maintains his energy, fitness and condition really well on it. I feel it is far better not to overload a horse with huge amounts of un-neccessary hard feed if you can provide all the nutrients they need to stay fit and healthy in other ways. If I had to sum Horslyx up in just five words...'To be specific - it's terrific!'"

Kirsty Hendry and Mally

Kirsty Hendry owns All That Malarky (aka Mally) who she bought as an unhandled 4 year old at the end of 2010. The pair are now eventing at BE90 level and Mally adores her jumping. “I just wanted to say a big thank you for coming up with the Mini Horslyx,” she tells us. “My unhandled 5 year old Mare came to me with very bad Mud Fever on her hind legs and as a result, it was very difficult to get near her back legs without her getting stressed and lashing out. This meant getting back shoes put on was a battle and she had to be twitched, it also meant that putting studs in to compete was an added stress on an already stressful day. She is such a fantastic horse in every other way, but this was becoming more and more of an issue. However, I saw the Mini Horslyx in my local feed merchant and decided to give them a try, and now she can be shod with no twitch and Studs take minimal effort! Now she really is the perfect horse! So thanks again, such a simple idea but worth its weight in gold! It keeps her occupied, without having to shovel feed into her forever expanding waistline!”

Catching the uncatchable

Editor of Equestrian Trade News recently put Mini Horslyx to the test when attempting to catch her mare. "When I read that Mini Horslyx licks were billed as ideal for use as a reward or to catch horses, I had to try it for myself," she says. "My lovely mare is one of those 'uncatchables' who loves to have a game of tag every so often - usually when the vet or farrier's waiting or I have limited time to ride! She'll usually come (eventually) for a carrot at which point I can grab hold of her headcollar. Having said that, I'm not keen on horses staying out overnight wearing one, so she usually goes 'nude'. Then when it comes to catching, there's the tricky business of sidling up with an unseen headcollar or leadrope and somehow slipping said item over her neck or nose. No chance! She's grabbed the carrot and gone! Horslyx kindly sent me their newly launched Rainbow Mixed Box of Mini Horslyx to try instead. And, wow, it worked!"
